The 2021 Ford Edge has a lot of appealing features, but one of its best is its spacious and well-appointed interior.

Drivers in Detroit, Sterling Heights, and Warren can explore more about the new Ford Edge interior with this in-depth interior review from Crest Ford.

Edge Interior Seating

The Edge is a two-row SUV that offers seating for five people. The first and second rows have ample headroom and legroom to stretch out and relax, so passengers can enjoy a long trip in comfort. The cushions are supportive and comfortable in both positions. Cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats are standard.

Optional upgrades include synthetic leather or genuine leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, and power-adjustable seats. Heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel are available. Two sets of LATCH connectors and a middle tether anchor come with the Edge for installing child safety seats. The connectors and anchors are simple to access and attach but tuck away when not in use.

Edge Interior Cargo Space

The Edge has a spacious cargo area for all your gear. When the seats are up, the Edge has 39.2 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. When the seats are folded down, space expands to 73.4 cubic feet of space. You can fit shopping bags and carry-on suitcases easily with the seats up and camping gear or a full load of luggage with the seats down.

The load floor is flat and even, so you can make the best use of the space. The liftover height is low as well, so you can load and unload cargo quickly and easily. A hands-free liftgate is available to open the liftgate with the swipe of a foot.

Edge Interior Features

The Edge comes with a 12-inch touchscreen that offers crisp graphics and responsive inputs. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration are also included, so you can sync your phone to the car's system and stream music and media. Four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and satellite radio are also included. Optional features include a wireless device charging, navigation, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Numerous safety features are included for the Edge, such as automatic emergency braking, a feature that activates the brakes automatically when it spots a collision. Automatic high-beam headlights are also standard and activate in low-light situations. Blind-spot monitoring is another standard feature, which points out if there's a vehicle blocking your path when you attempt to change lanes. Optional safety upgrades include front parking sensors and a hands-free park assist feature.
