BlueCruise is an incredibly advanced driver assistance technology that reduces the stress of driving on highways and the effects of driver fatigue. You may not realize that when you drive, your body is hyperalert to any potential hazards, and you make hundreds of decisions to keep your vehicle safely in the lane at the proper speed. BlueCruise takes over some of these micro-decisions so you can enjoy a more relaxed driving experience and operate your vehicle longer. BlueCruise is especially handy over long drives, like road trips or long commutes, where you travel the same path frequently, making you prone to inattention. Hands-free technology helps reduce hazards due to driving fatigue or driver error.
Lane Change Assist
BlueCruise will change lanes for you while you are cruising on compatible highways. All you have to do is activate the turn signal, and your vehicle will automatically change lanes when it detects that it is safe to do so. This feature is handy for avoiding hazards from blind spots and takes driver error out of the equation for safe highway driving and easy traffic navigation while cruising.
In-Lane Repositioning
Cruise with confidence with in-lane repositioning. When BlueCruise is activated, your vehicle will subtly reposition itself in the lane when it detects other vehicles are crowding into your lane.

The legendary Ford F-150 full-sized pickup truck has had BlueCruise capabilities since 2021 and comes standard on the LARIAT®, King Ranch®, Platinum, and Tremor® trim levels.

Ford BlueCruise is a driver-assistance feature that allows you to drive hands-free on compatible highway roads. It automatically keeps your vehicle centered in the lane and can change lanes when you put on your turn signal.
Most new Ford models equipped with BlueCruise will have a complimentary free trial as short as 90 days or as long as three years, depending on the vehicle. Once the trial subscription expires, you have the option to renew with a paid subscription. The cost for a BlueCruise subscription varies by plan length. You can purchase three years for $2,100 (can apply to the new purchase and roll into financing), an annual plan for $800, or a monthly plan for $75.
BlueCruise requires a one-time setup to connect your FordPass® App to the system. Once activated, you can turn on BlueCruise by selecting the Adaptive Cruise Control button on the steering wheel and ensuring Lane-Keeping is active. If the road is compatible with BlueCruise (hands-free Blue Zone), the instrument panel will turn blue, and the hands-free icon will appear. You'll be able to drive hands-free with your eyes on the road. The system will alert you once you have left a Blue Zone or need to take over driving.
You can check to see if your vehicle has BlueCruise by checking the status in your Ford Account under Connected Services. All Mustang Mach-E and F-150 trucks from 2021 and newer have BlueCruise capabilities. The Ford F-150 Lightning and Expedition from 2022 and newer also have BlueCruise capabilities. Ford plans on installing BlueCruise capabilities for an additional 500,000 vehicles to expand availability across the lineup. Ford BlueCruise is available in hands-free Blue Zones. You can use BlueCruise on about 97 percent of controlled access highways or interstates, freeways, and expressways in the U.S. and Canada. You can view an interactive map to see where the BlueZones are located in your area.
